5. General Comment: .2810(f)- When asked, director stated that bottle warmers were filled with water from the food prep handwashing sink. Water from a handwash lavatory shall not be used for bottle warming or to prepare formula, mix dry cereals, or other foods. General Comment: .2806(d)- Facility has a few children that bring specialty bulk milk from home. Remember that specialty bulk milk should be brought from home unopened and brought in at the beginning of the week and any remaining milk should be returned to the home at the end of the week. 0.0
17. General Comment: .2815(e)- A Keurig was stored on a table in the entrance hallway upon entering facility. Assistant director stated that coffee/tea/hot chocolate is available to parents for appreciation. Corrected during inspection- Keurig was removed from this location and taken to the kitchen upon request. 0.0
27. .2819(d)- Caretaker in Infant 2 classroom did not discard soiled gloves or soiled diaper before putting on clean diaper. Caretaker did not wipe their hands and the child`s hands each with a separate disposable towelette or moistened paper towel. Caretaker did not spray the diapering surface with detergent solution. Caretaker did not allow TB disinfectant to remain on the diapering surface for three minutes- solution was immediately wiped after spraying on surface. Please review diaper changing procedures with employees to ensure all steps are completed. **EHS observed another diaper change in the infant 1 classroom and caretaker completed all steps. 4.0
30. .2820(c)- Spray bottles of detergent solution (soapy water) were missing identifying labels in Infant 1 classroom and in discovery preschool classroom. Detergent solution was stored in a bottle labeled as quat. sanitizer in the preschool classroom. Non-aerosol sanitizing solutions, approved disinfectants, detergent solutions, hand antiseptics, and hand lotions shall be kept inaccessible to children when not in use, but are not required to be in locked storage. These solutions shall be labeled as sanitizing, disinfecting, or detergent solutions. Corrected during inspection- All bottles were properly labeled. 3.0
34. .2822(a)- Chair covers were stained in Infant classrooms 1 and 2. There was a ~4 inch rip on a blue sofa in toddler A classroom. Toys, equipment, and furniture provided by a child care center shall be kept clean and in good repair. Corrected during inspection- Sofa was removed from toddler A classroom. 4.0
37. .2824(a&b)- Floors in classrooms and bathrooms throughout whole center in need of cleaning. Floors and floor coverings in toilet rooms, sleeping, and play areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. .2825(a)- New layer of paint is needed on walls throughout center. Dusty ceiling and upper wall in PreK B bathroom above the handwashing sinks. In child care centers, the walls and ceilings, including doors and windows, of all rooms and areas shall be kept clean, free of visible fungal growth, and in good repair. 4.0
39. General Comment: .2826(a)- Replace light bulb in storage room of infant 2 classroom and in storage room of preschool classroom. In child care centers, all rooms and enclosed areas shall be lighted by natural or artificial light. Light fixtures in all areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 0.0
42. General Comment: .2827(d)- Facility lacks written procedures when responding to these events. The child care center shall have written procedures that employees shall follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the center. The classroom is sharing a water pitcher with another. Provide a pitcher for this classroom and don`t use the handwashing sinks to fill these cups. 5.0

General Comment: .2810 (f) A food preparation area shall contain a countertop that is kept clean and in good repair, a handwash lavatory, and refrigeration when items are stored that require refrigeration. Reminder that a "food prep area" in a classroom must contain these items if used to prepare bulk foods. Not seen during inspection but the tops of bins in some classrooms were labeled this way. 0.0
13. .2814 (b); A plastic container holding single-service cups & plates in Prek Room B was stored on the floor. Unwrapped single-service cups & plates were stored under the sink in Toddler room 1...Single service articles shall be protected from contamination (by being stored above the floor and not under exposed sewer lines). 3.0

32. .2821 (a); Some of the cots in PreK room B are damaged along the edges and the foam is exposed...Beds, cribs, cots, mats, and play pens shall be kept clean and in good repair. Replace damaged cots. 3.0

General Comment: The diaper changing station in Toddler room 2 does not directly include a handwashing sink but is near the bathroom sinks and there are no barriers to reach them.
.2819 (a); Each diaper changing station shall include a handwash lavatory.
Move this station as close to the sinks as possible to keep traveling distance to a minimum.
