In Young Preschool 1 classroom, observed a few soft toys with tears. Observed white cubicles in classrooms that chipping and peeling. Toys, equipment, and furniture provided by a child care center shall be kept clean and in good repair. Toys were discarded during inspection. Resurface/replace white cubicles.

Comment: .2804 (d); One child`s bottle of milk was sitting inside of a closet in the Young PreK room outside of refrigeration. Teacher said child had just finished using it...Beverages that require refrigeration shall be labeled with the name of the child to whom the beverage, or milk, belongs and shall be refrigerated at 45 degrees Fahrenheit or below. Bottle was immediately discarded.

.2804 (i); Water bottles in a young prek room were stored together in the closet and unlabeled...A child`s water bottle used only for water shall be labeled with the name of the child to whom the water bottle belongs, individually stored in the child`s cubby, and sent home with the child at the end of the day.

General Comment: .2810 (f) A food preparation area shall contain a countertop that is kept clean and in good repair, a handwash lavatory, and refrigeration when items are stored that require refrigeration.
Reminder that a "food prep area" in a classroom must contain these items if used to prepare/pour bulk foods. Not seen during inspection but some tables were verbally called food prep tables.

General Comment: .2815(e)- A Keurig coffee/tea kettle sits on a table in the entrance hallway of the center. Director stated that coffee/tea/hot chocolate is available to parents for appreciation. Corrected during inspection- Hot water dispenser was removed from this location and taken to the kitchen upon request.
