12. Air temp. in class refrigerator was 50 degrees F. A cold food storage temp. of 45 degrees F. is required. The door on the refrigerator was not completely shut by staff. Keep the refrigerator door shut at all times to maintain proper cold food storage temperatures. The refrigerator temp. did not drop down below 50 degrees F. after the door was completely shut for a while. Have this cooler serviced to verify it is functioning properly. Do not store student food items in the cooler until it has been serviced and interior thermometers in the refrigerator verify that it is maintaining a sustained cold holding temperature of 45 degrees F. or less. No student food items were present in the cooler at time of inspection. 4.0

NOTE: Many test strips used to check concentration of chlorine sanitizer and disinfectant were discolored inside the bottles they were stored in (possible moisture damage?). The discolored strips did not give an accurate concentration of disinfectant. Ensure discolored strips are discarded and ensure new strips obtained have not been damaged or discolored.
