Water in both classrooms is just under 75 degrees F. There is an exemption for school age that does not apply to the pre-K program since school age is defined: "School Age" means any child who is at least five years old on or before October 16 of the current school year. Provide hot and cold water at the handwashing sinks in the licensed areas. Water in areas accessible to children shall be tempered between 80F (27C) and 110F (43C).

Locked cabinet is available and used for bleaches and chemicals, but one classroom had the key in the lock. Remove key and store it at least 5 feet above the floor. Locks in both classrooms are very challenging to use, difficult to insert keys and to turn them. Locking mechanisms appear to not be tight to the door, so part of the problem is that the locking mechanism itself rotates. Locks today both took several minutes to successfully unlock and relock and should therefore be replaced with correctly operating locks. We discussed proper key-storage out of the lock today.

Spray bottles containing bleach solutions are deteriorating in their optimal spraying range. Corrosion of metal components is likely occurring. Replacement spray bottles will be needed soon.

Sanitizer solution shall be used on food contact surfaces.

Upon asking, one child has pullups and standing diapering is being done in the restroom. Educated about standing procedure and using a smooth and easily cleanable mat to place on the floor during the procedure and treating the surfaces as a diapering surface. Clean mat with soapy water and disinfect mat for 2 minutes or leave hanging to air dry.
Carpet cleaning information could not be found during inspection. Provide documentation that carpets are cleaned every 6 months.
