EHS observed 66 degrees Fahrenheit water temperature at the lavatory sinks (hand wash sinks). The rules Governing the Sanitation of Public, Private and Religious Schools 15A NCAC 18A.2400 does not illustrate water temperature requirements for lavatories. However, the child care rules illustrates that hot water at lavatories must be at 80-110 degrees Fahrenheit. Please consider increasing the water temperature at the lavatories (hand wash sinks).

*Please be advised that hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, Saniwipes in emergency bags, air freshners, hand lotions all must be kept out of reach of children when not in use. Keep these items when not in use stored at least 5 feet high. It does not have to be locked away.
