The 300 hall drinking fountains across from room 143 electrical were very dirty and need a good cleaning around the water spouts (slime mold buildup). The drinking fountains next to the computer lab and across from room 205 have slime mold around the spouts and base of guards. The fountains on the eastern side of the school were nice and clean as were those in the classrooms. Use of a food grade sanitizer on the guards and spouts along with a dedicated brush used just for this purpose and nothing else will keep the slime mold from accumulating.

Room 307 (I believe one on one Spanish teaching takes place here, could have been room 303) has several major leaks requiring the use of catch containers. Several of the ceiling tiles have water stains or damage even though many have been replaced. This has been an ongoing issue in this classroom for at least 8 years. Room 309 has active leaks and damaged ceiling tiles. There is an active leak and damaged ceiling tiles above the ramp across from custodial closet 316. Trailer 14 has a window that leaks and the window sill has minor damage.

There is some storage throughout the school that is on the floor along with some clutter. This is a problem in all NC schools but not severe in this school. 15A NCAC 18A .2411 requires all storage to be at least 15 inches above the floor or otherwise arranged to permit thorough cleaning.
The handicap toilet rails in room 214 need grip repair. The grips have duct tape holding them together and cannot be properly cleaned and disinfected.
Several cabinet doors in the art room need adjustment or repair and the Kiln room needs cleaning (cobwebs along walls and in corners).
Walls in room 306 restroom are not clean and have peeling paint on surfaces. Wall paper is peeling from wall in room 326. Paint is peeling from walls in the music education room. I recommend keeping all chemicals(aerosols, white board cleaners) out of reach of children, in cabinents or locked. Trailer 1 has several reptiles that the kids handle. Reptiles carry samonella, I recommend not handling these animals. If the student handle these animals they need to wash their hands throughly.
