Potentially harmful chemical products including aerosol spray cans were left in areas accessible to students in classroom #605 and in the art class room #400. Chemical products and aerosol spray cans should be stored in areas only accessible to staff including closed or locked cabinets and closets. Classroom supplies were stored in class bathroom #607A. Class bathrooms are not clean storage locations. The class items stored in this restroom could become a means of transfer for disease pathogens including norovirus and stomach flu. The following areas were observed to have ceiling leaks: 600 hall(severe actively dripping leaks), room 604 (severe leak with stained moldy ceiling tile), room 605, staff bathroom # 609, second grade building room# 402, room # 114, and room # 113. Sources of the ceiling leaks should be repaired and water/mold damaged ceiling tile replaced. The carpet in room # 605 is wet from the ceiling leaks. The water stained and drenched carpet in this room should be replaced after leaks are repaired. 30.0
8. Ceiling lights throughout the buildings are non functional. Recommend sending a notice to teaching staff that all cleaning chemicals and aerosol spray cans can not be stored in areas accessible to students in classrooms. These chemical products should be stored in locations like locked cabinets or in teacher desk drawers.
