Adjust the top hinge on the door to the courtyard. The hinge is bent and causing the door to rub on the jamb.....Over all the rooms are clean. I did not find dust on high shelving and the floors are clean and shiny in most areas....The boys rest room floor in the pod needs repair.
Ceiling leaks throughout the building. Carpets are wet from recent rains. Staff is maintaining leaks, ceiling tiles and carpet as best they can. Roof needs repairs to eliminate possible mold growth. Mold is a health hazard to individuals allergic to mold or who have asthma/upper respiratory problems. During inspection, many ceiling tiles were down where leaks are present and trash cans were placed under leaks to catch water.

Repair towel dispenser in boy's bathroom on eighth grade hall. Recommend that class pet animals like reptiles be maintained under close supervision by staff. Children should wash their hands immediately after handling these animals due to risk of salmonella infection. Ex: Iguana in lab class #710 was on a counter and not in cage at time of class lecture. Recommend keeping animals in cages at most times except for related instructional moments. This will help to prevent droppings from being spread in classrooms and to verify how and when students are handling these animals. Verify repair of nonfunctional light fixtures in classrooms. Ex: Room # 601.
