Ensure that properly mixed sanitizer is provided and is used for sanitizing lavatory and vanity areas. . *One room was entered where the guest left evidence of diarrhea and the cleaning lady does not have the proper chemicals needed for clean-up. The next guest may be at risk for contracting a virus that leads to vomiting and diarrhea.

CO detector needed in the laundry room and sleeping room 109 that is above the laundry room. CO detector needed in boiler room and sleeping room 610 below the water heater room.
Of 5 housekeeping carts checked, 1 found to have no sanitizer bottle, 1 found to have properly mixed sanitizer, 3 found to be at borderline (150 ppm quat) or less quat concentration. Dispenser found to be dispensing no sanitizer. Ensure that properly mixed sanitizer of 150-400 ppm is provided and is used for sanitizing lavatory and vanity areas.

General Comments
Small area of peeling wallpaper on 6th floor hall - repair. Two rooms (611 and 111) found to have water slightly above approved temperature range. Adjust water temperature downward for these rooms. Remaining rooms observed at 125-128 F. Approved range is 116-128 degrees F, so there is plenty of "room" to adjust temperature downward and still be in compliance. Repair cracked tub in 623. Top sheet observed folded well over 6 inches over blanket, as required, but then blanket covered by comforter. Comforter is washed at every guest change, per person in charge. Recommend that either comforter be moved downward to allow access to folded sheet without touching comforter, or that sheet be folded over comforter as well. Breakfast area and kitchen have evidence that food preparation and service takes place, but no prep or food service directly observed. (Chafing dish present at breakfast area. Panned sausage patties and egg patties in reach in cooler.) ***PLEASE NOTE: Establishment was made aware during visit of 6/6/11 that "no food establishment permit exists for this establishment. Establishment may serve basic continental breakfast without a food establishment permit, including pastries and pre-packaged foods. Addition of any menu items that involve food preparation (such as opening packaged foods, heating foods, mixing ingredients, etc.) will require a food establishment permit." Contact Jessica Sanders (919-856-7417) with Wake County Plan Review immediately to continue with permitting process. Discontinue food preparation requiring a permit immediately. Follow up visit will be performed during breakfast time. If establishment is found to be performing any activities that require a permit, an Illegal Food Vendor Violation Notice will be issued. (Establishment may continue to serve waffles, bakery goods, and packaged foods. Do not serve sausage/eggs/etc. that involve opening packages and panning/heating/preparing foods.)*** Investigated complaint received 7/27/12. Findings noted in Complaint Manager.
